Motor World - a Middle East city about cars

Aldar Properties, a well-known Abu Dhabi-based international property developer, is developing a spectacular complex in the tiny Arab Emirate which has been described as "an auto lovers dream."
Motor World will be located about 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi international airport on a 3.5 million square metre area. The project will include a 3-star hotel, office buildings, a residential zone, a cinema, restaurants, and a shopping mall.
The automobile-related part will be a state-of-the-art pavilion which will have everything from high-end auto dealerships and exhibition facilities to a large car-auction facility and auto maintenace facilities
At the inauguration of the project, Aldar Properties chairman Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh said, "Motor World will offer a place for all car-related retail transactions to take place under one roof. By creating industry-focused destinations while simultaneously addressing city planning issues, Aldar aims to create developments that serve a greater purpose for the emirate of Abu Dhabi."
"Motor World will set new standards in innovative design to address several key issues concerning the emirate of Abu Dhabi and its resident communities. The unique approach to the integration of the entire motor-related industry, supported by themed food and beverage and entertainment, will create a lively and interesting environment for the people of the UAE to undertake comparison shopping for motor car and accessories," according to Ronald S. Barrott, CEO of Aldar Properties.
Abu Dhabi is about 700 km (about 450 miles) down the Gulf from Iraq and a couple of hundred km accross the water from Iran. It is one of a federation of seven principalites, or Emirates, that make up the United Arab Emirates. Along with nearby Dubai, it frequently makes headlines with its spectacular developments.
