(Sept. 22, 2008) - WebTech Wireless Inc., a leading provider of location-based and fleet telematics services based in Vancouver, Canada, has announced a partnership with NelTech, an oil industry logistics company, Foster Park Baskett Insurance, and Rogers Communications, a major Canadian wireless carrier, in the creation of a fleet tracking and management system for the oil and gas industries.
The new service, titled Neltrak, brings together four specialized partners whose goal is to increase the Return On Investment of oil and gas companies worldwide with a suite of customizable solutions.
Neltrak brings together vehicle tracking and telematics provided by WebTech Wireless using their Iridium(TM) satellite technology, Rogers' constant-coverage wireless network, NelTech's strategic business services and Foster Park Baskett's expertise in risk management for oil and gas companies of all sizes.
WebTech Wireless' Quadrant(TM) mapping has been enhanced with LSD (Legal Subdivision) data, LSD search features and specialized map data to provide accurate information about access roads and oil and gas installations.
WebTech Wireless Locators(TM) provide real-time data, allowing fleet managers to track and manage their mobile assets, with messaging and dispatching abilities, including lone-worker functions that provide significant improvements to worker safety.
NelTrak allows a customer to manage the maintenance of their vehicles from their desktops, and monitor if they are working within operational, governmental safety and environmental guidelines. This lowers costs and improves risk management, since all aspects, including insurance policies, can be customized to a company's evolving usage profile.
Commenting on NelTrak, Mark Elgood, President of Foster Park Baskett said, "Clients that use NelTrak are demonstrating positive risk management, which will reduce accident costs and frequency, and represent much lower risk to insurers, allowing us to obtain the lowest premiums possible on their behalf."
