Replace Opengl32.dll
Here’s what to do:
- Open a web browser
- Search for dll files on Google or some other search engine
- Make sure you click on the official DLL-files.com and search for opengl32
- In the search results, click opengl32.dll
- The top section of the next page provides information about the opengl32.dll file while the next section lists downloadable versions. It’s important that you select a file that corresponds to your system type. That means if you have a 32-bit Windows computer, you should download the latest version for 32-bit computers. Likewise, users with 64-bit Windows, should click a file meant for 64-bit computers. Whether a downloadable file is for 32-bit or 64-bit can be learned by checking the Architecture field
Note: If you’re not sure which system you have, type about your pc in the Search bar in taskbar and hit Enter. Look at the System type field in the right-side pane under Device specifications section to find out whether you’ve 64-bit or 32-bit. |
- Now go back and download the correct opengl32 file
- Once the download is complete, go to the Download folder, locate and open opengl32 folder, right-click the open32.dll file and select Copy
- Close the opengl32 folder
- Open your File explorer
- Click This PC > Local Disk > Program Files
- In the Program Files folder, scroll down until you see Java
- If you see multiple folders, click on the latest one
- Click bin, right-click anywhere and click Paste
- You’ll get a Destination Access Denied message. Click Continue to provide administrative permissions
- Now that you have replaced the open32.dll file, launch Minecraft and see if it opens and runs without any issue
