Help with the most common HP Printer Errors
Paper Jams
- If paper gets stuck in the process of feeding from the tray into the HP printer – slowly pull it back out of the printer and press the Resume button.
- The jam may be in the back rollers of the printer. Remove the rear access door of the printer and check for paper stuck in the rollers, remove paper and replace door. Press the Resume button.
- Lift the front cover of the printer to check for a paper jam – very slowly pull out any paper found.
- Sometimes it is a “fake” paper jam which usually occurs after a legitimate jam. This is where you have cleared the paper jam but your HP printer still ‘detects’ it. There is a way to trick your printer into clearing this, it seems a little odd but it does work! More details on this at https://nealpoole.com/blog/2011/03/clearing-a-fake-paper-jam-in-an-hp-printer/
HP ‘Printer is offline’ Message
