When you click on iTunes in a Windows PC, you receive the following error:
“AppleSyncNotifier.exe – unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because CoreFoundation.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.”
This file is related to the MobileMe application, used for synchronizing data between your laptop or pc and an Apple device such as iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
You may use the following methods to resolve the issue.
Method 1:
- Click Start>Run
- Type msconfig.msc and press Enter
- Click the Startup tab
- Deselect the checkbox before this process
- Click Apply, and then OK
- Restart Windows for the changes to take effect
Method 2:
- Open Control Panel
- Click Add or Remove Programs
- Select iTunes and QuickTime, and then click Uninstall
- Reinstall these two applications
Method 3:
- Download and install a reliable registry cleaner
- Scan Windows registry to fix any issues in it
The last step has helped many users to get rid of this exe error. Often, exe errors, including AppleSyncNotifier.exe error, are caused by issues in registry. Once the underlying issue is fixed, the error gets resolved on its own.
