The technology keeps on getting better and better. Windows 8, a huge improvement over Windows Vista and considerably faster than Windows 7, is up for grabs now. Great as it may be, users must keep in mind some tasks that they must continue to perform. This includes regularly updating device drivers.

While the steps for updating drivers in Windows 8 are not much different from those in Windows 7, it does no harm to take a look at them once again.

Install Windows Updates
Windows updates often contain the latest updates regarding built-in device drivers (drivers that were preinstalled on your Windows 8 PC). Installing Windows updates regularly is a great way of keeping your drivers up to date.

Install the latest updates from the manufacturers’ website

Install the driver using device manager
Another way of updating drivers is by using a device manager. You can access the Device Manager from the Control Panel.

After you’ve opened the Device Manager, locate and double-click the hardware device whose driver you need to update. Next, select the Driver tab, click the Update Driver button, and then click Search automatically for update driver software.
