NVIDIA Drivers > Free Drivers Scan
Many users report that they frequently receive the following error message after they upgrade their original ATI video card to Nvidia card, PNY GTX650 TI:
“The display driver has crashed and recovered”
Sometimes, the above error message is not received, but the update is followed by frequent TDR black screen delays.
Cause
While the above-reported issues can occur due to various reasons, the most common cause is incompatible drivers.
Solution
To resolve the issue, install the drivers that came with the video card. In case you don’t have the driver CD, you can do either of the following:
- Download and install drivers manually from the NVidia’s website. Manual installation of drivers is not tough, but can be a time-consuming activity sometimes, especially if the manufacturer does not provide the required drivers on its website.
- Download a reliable, compatible, and advanced driver update tool and use it to get the correct Nvidia driver. The best driver software have a huge collection of driver files, and can install any missing driver in less than two minutes.
