Navigation systems, Location Based Services, Portable GPS, web in the car, and al kinds of wireless and other electronic wizardry will be in the spotlight at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on January 8 next year.
For the first time ever, the Keynote speaker will be focused on automotive technologies. Karen Chupka, senior vice president of events and conferences with the Consumer Electronics Association, which presents the annual CES conference, says it's one of the largest car technology shows in the world, with more than 200,000 square feet of exhibit space allocated to automobile electronics.
Location Based Services (the marriage of GPS tracking with local information) will be a hot topic, as also will IP Technology and the latest developments in voice-over-internet.
In edition, BMW will entertain visitors with its F1 Team Pit Lane Park, Where attendees can watch live racing and stunt action along a 90-meter track from both the BMW Sauber F1 and Formula BMW race teams. The park has a miniature race track, mini grandstands and an F12 training centre.
